Quick Update: Couch to 5K
Having finished Week 2, Day 2, I’m starting to understand why many people choose not to continue with this program. It’s not because the program is hard. It’s because running isn’t easy.
Last night’s run totaled up to 9 minutes of running interspersed with 12 minutes of walking. We were certainly able to complete that task, but it’s far from enjoyable. The feeling of accomplishment afterward is your reward. That’s why we’ll continue.
FYI: Don’t eat a dinner of all vegetables and no meat/protein before running. Your body will thank you for fueling it properly. :)
Vegetables? Yes, I picked up our first box of vegetables from Elmwood Stock Farm yesterday! As in previous posts, Community Supported Agriculture is something Tyler and I are very happy to be participating in for the 2nd consecutive year. Our first box contained: Asparagus, Dried Organic Black Turtle Beans, Organic Garlic Greens, Organic Overwintered Parsnips, Organic Overwintered Spinach, Organic Fresh Thyme. We also get a half dozen of Organic Brown Eggs. I fried up two of them this morning and they are yummy!
