Having bought our first house less than a year ago, we're slowly getting to know our first lawn. The family that lived in the house before us did a GREAT job picking out plants and landscaping. Our hope is to keep it up and enjoy it as much as possible. Here are some photos of the beautiful flora in our yard. I'm not sure what all of their names are, so please tell me if you recognize something.
This is my first attempt as potting a plant! haha I found the pot at Big Lots along with the soil. The plant itself was transplanted from a gift given to me last month when my grandmother passed away. I think this plant would do well indoors, but I'm terrified of what the cats would do to it and what soil would do to my carpet. Eeek!
Pictured here you'll notice Tyler mowing the yard with our rotary mower. The violet flowers are Phlox and I like that you see them from the road. They were even prettier last week before all the rain hit.
I don't have a clue what these white flowery bushes are, but they are all down one side of the house and I love them. There were some big orange/red tulips nearby, but I failed to photograph them before they died.
More pictures to come. Enjoy!
